The CEO of Polestar is appointed by the Board of Directors to manage the Group's day-to-day operations and lead the Executive Committee (ExCom) under the Board's supervision. The ExCom is responsible for overseeing Polestar's strategic direction and overall management. Additionally, a broader Group Management Team (GMT) is established. The GMT, which includes the ExCom and other key leaders, focuses on ensuring efficient operations, effective information sharing, and alignment on critical business issues.

Michael was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Polestar in October 2024 and has two decades of senior level experience in the automotive industry.
Previously, Michael served as the CEO of Nikola Motor Company, VinFast and Opel, and before that he was CFO of Opel, Volkswagen and Mitsubishi.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück and a Master’s degree in European Marketing from Brunel University of London.

Jean-François joined in October 2024 from Stellantis where he was Senior Vice President of Global Accounting Operations and Finance Transformation. He brings 25 years of experience from global automotive finance and financial services sectors.

Scott joined Polestar in 2021 and has since held senior commercial roles at the company, including European Commercial Operations Director and Global Head of Sales. Prior to joining Polestar, he worked as Sales Director at Jaguar Land Rover UK.
Gerry joined Polestar in October 2025 from Geely’s External Collaboration Institute where he held the role of Senior Director since 2021. Prior to that, he was responsible for technology collaboration between Geely and Volvo Cars at Geely Volvo Automotive Technology.
Anna joined in 2018 from SKF Group where she was Legal Director and Group Legal Counsel. Anna has over 20 years of experience.
Nina joined Polestar in November 2021. She has over 15 years of experience from various HR roles in Geely Group companies, including Volvo Cars and CEVT.
Beatrice joined Polestar in 2017. She has over 20 years of experience in senior automotive roles across product management, program leadership, and engineering at Polestar and Volvo Cars.
Philipp joined Polestar in 2025. Philipp has over 25 years of automotive design experience. He joined from AUDI, where he was Head of Exterior Design. Before working for AUDI, he was a leading designer at Volkswagen.
